Digital Brothers offers short-runs of CDs in quantities of 12 or more. These are done as "one-off" discs (gold discs) with a permanent (thermal-transfer*) label printed on the disc in black.

* A note on disc printing: We offer thermal-transfer printing onto CD-R discs. This is a permanent printing process. We are concerned about potential problems with other methods of CD-R labeling such as ink-jet printing or paper labels. Ink-jet printing looks attractive, but the ink will smudge quite easily and is not waterproof (or skin-oil proof), regardless of how long it dries. Paper labels (usually printed by a computer printer) have two problems: paper does not age well, and over time it can harden and peel off. Also, the adhesive used in a paper label can damage the top surface of the disc, which is the side the data is actually on. We want the discs you get from us to look as good and play as well in 5 or 10 years as they do when you first get them. The thermal-transfer printing on our discs provides that longevity.
